Stained Glass USA Flag

Create your very own USA flag suncatcher! Choose from an array of precut glass kits and create your own suncatcher! Learn how to apply copper foil to the glass pieces and solder them together into a finished piece that you can take home with you by the end of class. This class is especially great for beginners, since all the pieces will have straight edges! All supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring your own work gloves if you like so you know they will fit. This is a great activity for those middle school aged and up, not for younger children. Adult supervision required. Potential hazards include: sharp glass, use of lead/tin solder (lead poisoning), skin irritants, and burns from hot soldering irons. Protection equipment is provided, but it is up to the student whether they want to use it.

Description

Morgan is originally from the suburbs of the Minnesota Twin cities, but is enjoying the art scene of the Fargo area. She learned stained glass from her mother in her high school years and took it up herself after she graduated college and started her career. It started with passion projects, but as her work gained visibility she began doing more custom requests. In 2021, she started doing stained glass full time, teaching classes and selling her work at shows and online. She is gracious for the opportunity to do what she loves everyday, and share it with those around her.
