Participants will construct bowls and coasters using their sewing machines and cotton rope. Each person will make three bowls and a coaster – there is flexibility if the participant wishes to make several coasters or a larger bowl rather than three smaller ones.
Participants need to bring a sewing machine that makes a zig zag stitch; machines must be in working order and the participant must be able to operate independently. No class time will be used for machine maintenance. Extra size 16 sewing machine needles. Basic sewing kit. Natural/cream colored sewing thread. Contrasting color sewing thread (if desired).
This class will be held at the Nome Schoolhouse in Nome, ND
