Description
Enjoy a Safari at the Nome Schoolhouse in Nome, North Dakota needle felting a Giraffe with Needle Felting Sculpture Artist Teresa Perleberg of Bear Creek Felting.
You will be invited to our private Safari Facebook group for preliminary instruction and follow up instruction after the retreat. The week will start out in the Mill learning the entire process dying and card your own wool roving for your project.
You will enjoy lots of one on one felting with Teresa with many breaks including your choice of the following adventures –
- canoeing or kayaking on the Sheyenne river
- local shopping
- visiting our favorite local winery
- hiking to see North Dakota’s only waterfall
- a trip to a local hatchery
- or you may choose to relax and read a book from our library or go for a bike ride on one of our complimentary bikes.
The retreat begins on Friday, September 1st Check in at 5pm.
Check out will be after lunch at 1pm on September 8th.
This is an all inclusive retreat, the cost covers your trip to and from the airport, your very own cozy room at the Nome Schoolhouse with private bathroom, food and drinks as well as the optional adventures listed above.
Some previous needle felting experience is necessary, if you have any questions on this, please reach out and Teresa will be happy to answer your questions. Completing 2 or more of Teresa’s needle felting kits will be enough experience. All the materials are provided.
